Dashboard Overview

This dashboard provides a comprehensive, data-driven view of roadway safety using crash trends, temporal patterns, travel modes, demographic insights, and spatial analysis presented through interactive charts, tables, and maps.

These analyses are based on 5 years of collision data from the CRIS database (TxDOT). Only records with Fatal, Serious, or Minor Injuries are included. All severity classification is based exclusively on the Person Injury Severity field. KABCO monetary values are also assigned at the person level using the same Person Injury Severity classification.

This tool is designed to support ongoing monitoring of roadway safety conditions and to identify high-risk patterns across the network. It also provides supporting evidence for funding applications by highlighting severity and exposure trends that can inform targeted safety improvements.
